All Redlake cameras come equipped with an easy-to-use software package containing a diverse array of features, including an intuitive graphical user interface. These state-of-the-art software features allow users to create images quickly and easily in just the click of a mouse. The table below offers a glimpse of different software packages and supported hardware for several Redlake systems:

MotionCentral

Motion Central software has enabled leading automotive manufacturers worldwide to quickly photograph crash-tests for prompt motion analysis. Its solid networking capability and extensive time stamp support, including IRIG/GPS and fast downloading (automatic or manual), are just some of the features which currently make Motion Central software one of the most versatile imaging platforms to date. This revolutionary software package provides complete functionality to the ruggedized MotionXtra series of cameras (except the compact HG-SE). Some of the solid features supported by this unique software package include:

• Supports MotionXtra XR 100K, LE and TH/CH
• Complete support for GigE and 100-based networking
• Connect up to xxx cameras in network for synchronized operation
• Thumbnail preview provided by each connected camera

MotionPro x

The MotionPro X software suite from Redlake provides powerful acquisition software features compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, with complete support for color and monochrome versions. It features easy-to-use GUI for previewing, recording, and saving images. It also offers complete camera control over exposure, frame rate and ROI (Region of Interest), etc.

The new and updated features of Redlake’s MotionPro X software suite includes:

• Complete support for Redlake's MotionPro X cameras, Timing Hub and Data Acquisition System (DAS)
• Support for gigabit ethernet (PC only) and USB2.0 (PC and Mac)
• Remote, wireless control of camera parameters via PDA (requires local host computer with 802.11b/g wireless connection)
• iPod support for quick review of motion images and movies
• Database viewer for comprehensive cataloguing of image data and experiment settings
• Improved XDR to increase effective dynamic range
• Permits live preview while recording
• Allows complete control over frame rate during playback

LabView (PC) Matlab (PC and Mac) plug-ins are also available for easy integration into complex experimental setups. For custom application development, an SDK with easy-to-follow examples is provided.

Imaging Studio

Imaging Studio is a powerful yet easy-to-use software platform that supports all MotionScope cameras as well as the MotionXtra HG-SE. Imaging Studio software enhances entry level MotionScope cameras with additional functionality and performance. The software combines full capture functions and simple motion analysis tools including manual tracking, distance calibration and measurements.

Simply connect the MotionScope system via Firewire (IEEE 1394A) and launch the Imaging Studio to immediately preview your image in the camera's live window. Adjust the frame rate, ROI size, and length of sequence for quick and easy capture of any high-speed event. Once a sequence has been captured on the software or hardware trigger, simply download the sequence into available file formats (RAW, MPG, AVI, TIF etc.). Add your own annotations and attach them to the movie files for future reference, as well.

Note: MotionScope M1 and M2 cameras can now be operated by Imaging Studio. Simply "unlock" them with a free downloadable utility which you can receive by completing a software request form.
