Troubleshooting errors in high-speed production lines can come at a high price if manufacturers are forced to slow down production levels. Redlake’s MotionPro X and MotionScope cameras provide manufacturers with an easy means to quickly capture system flaws without slowing their systems down, saving them valuable time and millions of dollars. canning line inspection

These compact, lightweight systems image fast moving machine parts as production speeds increase, capturing minute design errors that would otherwise go unnoticed.


Features and capabilities include:

  • Continuous recording mode using circular buffers
  • Fire each time a failure occurs, keeping user-defined numbers of frames before and after the trigger goes off (provides analyzers with the status of their systems prior to and after the failures occur)
  • In product tests such as stress and load tests, the systems’ imaging data is used in conjunction with other sensor data
  • MotionPro imaging systems can be integrated with an optional data acquisition system (DAS) which allows analog data from as many as four channels to be captured simultaneously with the imaging data
  • Two data streams can be played back and analyzed simultaneously in the MotionPro X using MotionPro software -- a powerful way to integrate data from multiple sources for spotting system flaws and other problems

MotionScope camera systems are a low-cost alternative to the MotionPro X designs with many of the same characteristics, including a built-in battery, PC-free operation (for 30 min) in hard-to-reach pick and place testinglocations, segmented memory recording, and more. However, the MotionPro system features outstanding shutter speeds between 1,000 to 64,000 fps (MotionPro X3) and 5,000 to 200,000 fps (MotionPro X4) with up to 260K pixels, while the MotionScope delivers between 500 and 32,000 fps at a maximum 1.3M pixel resolution.

MotionPro X and MotionScope imaging systems are both admired for their ease-of-use and excellent image quality in design laboratories worldwide. The MotionXtra camera systems may be used in Product Design and Test applications where ruggedized instrumentation is required.
